Karyn Greer

Karyn Greer anchors the 11 Alive Morning News weekdays from 5 - 7 am.  A long-time Atlanta resident, Karyn is well-known in the local television market and has a history of hands- on community involvement.  Starting her broadcasting career in Champaign, Illinois, she made the move to Atlanta in 1989 and became an anchor with Atlanta's WGNX news team.  In 1999, Karyn joined the 11 Alive News team, Atlanta's NBC affiliate.  An Emmy award winning anchor, she has been the recipient of numerous awards throughout her career honoring both her professional work and community contributions, including recognition as one of Atlanta's 100 Women of Influence by the Atlanta Business League.  Karyn is also a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, past president of the Atlanta Press Club, and currently serves on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television, Arts and Sciences.
